Welcome to the Starsiege Technology Systems Portal
The STS Mod is a simple yet elegant Starsiege modification created by {GDF}Stratus. It is easy to install, easy to activate and de-activate, and lends an added dimension to an already awesome game.

The mod gives you 2 new vehicles, 11 new weapons, and 5 new components. The original vehicles now have twice the armor and added tonnage. There are no terrain changes which means the mod will run on any existing Starsiege Map including the maps with AI, like Campaign and War maps. It operates both on server-side and client-side, so if you want to put up an STS game all you have to do is start the mod and then start your dedicated or non-dedicated game server. No need to create special maps and distribute them to players.

Installation
Download STS mod Download 2011 STS Mod Update

  1. The mod works by swapping your master.cs and defaultvehicles.cs with its own, adding STSTech.vol to your Starsiege folder and adding the STS vehicles your Vehicle folder. It is therefore prudent to back up your original master.cs, defaultvehicles.cs, and /vehicle folder before you install the STS Mod.
  2. Download and install the STS Mod.
  3. Download and install the 2011 STS Mod Update.

Vehicles
  • Upgraded Vehicles: Each vehicle can carry more tons than the originals, as well as double the armor.
  • Two New Vehicles:
    1. Quadranis. The Quadranis is a 100 ton behemoth with 6 mounts.
    2. Halbard. The Halbard is a shielded tank based on the Paladin chassis. It's speed is minimal, but it makes up this sluggishness by being the only vehicle capable of carrying the Ion Cannons without dropping all components.

Weapons
  • Lighting Chain Gun: Based off of the Electron Flux Whip, this weapon fires three bolts in succession, but has a slower recharge rate.
  • Super MFAC: 50% more power than a regular MFAC but heavier and a higher energy demand.
  • MFAC Repeater Cannon: High firing rate MFAC, shorter range, uses less energy for firing and less accurate at long distance firing.
  • Twin PBW: Exactly as the name says. Fires two Particle Beams at the same time, recharge is as slow as an MFAC.
  • Semi-Auto Rail Gun: 5 shots in one salvo.
  • Seeking Q-Gun: Not exactly your common seeking weapon, this weapon fires three shots in rapid succession. Each hit does 200 damage.
  • Tac Rocket 5-pack: Missile with 500-meter blast radius. 600 points damage.
  • Finger of God: Runs on energy. Originally in the Starsiege scripting, just edited a bit to make it more like an orbital strike.
  • Hypervelocity Cannon: A heavy cannon that damages armor.
  • Laser Autocannon: An upgrade from the HATC. Fires compressed energy in the form of thin rail-like objects.
  • Ion Cannon: An extremely heavy weapon capable of killing any vehicle in at least three shots.

Components
  • Impervion Shields: A stronger type of shielding.
  • GPS System: 1500m Active range sensors.
  • The Ultima Reactor: A Powerful reactor that can run a whole flotilla of energy weapons.
  • The Ultima Engine: A Powerful engine to carry the upgraded Executioner, Myrmidon, Quadranis and Halbard.
  • Burn System: A powerful Booster not recommended for urban battles.

Benjamin "Stratus" Pierce was a Starsiege player and modder. He was most famous for leading the Guardian Defense Force, and for creating the Starsiege Technology Systems mod, and for his unparalleled chivalry. Ben passed away on May 06, 2008 due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis. Though his physical being has gone, he will forever remain immortal in the Starsiege Community.
